!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! I need to start looking for boxy Volvo wagons, because !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

Unfortunately, all I know about boxy Volvo wagons is that they look great. I don’t know model numbers, or years, or, well, anything.

A quick online search brought me !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , and it starts with the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

Kinja'd!!!

I just...I just...oh my heavens that is about as beautiful a car[*] as I have ever seen in my life.

[*] non-convertible edition, anyway

I genuinely believe all boxy vehicles look better in two-tone. Heck, probably most cars of any design  do, but there’s something about the visual contrast that just works so well on a box.

Heck, I can’t even find a Volvo 245, which appears to be the wagon I like seeing so much. Nothing on Autotrader classics, nothing on Craigslist nearby, nothing .

Do. Live the dream. No reason not to.

I’ve been driving the Mini as much as I can. Why? Why not.

That’s pretty neat.  And I even like the color.

There was one on sale on the local CL for what seemed like several years. Not cheap, but before I saw it I  never knew these even existed, and 60-70s European cars are kind of my thing.  The want is strong.

A neigbour had one as a year round  daily driver up until 2011 or something, but that was a panel van..

Are you searching 245 or 240? 245 is more of a body code thing like E30, TJ, etc.

242=coupe, 244=sedan, 245= wagon

There are a lot of 240s out there, even wagons. They were in production from the late 70s to 1993.

I’ ve searched for 240 as well, but only in Craigslist. Zero hits in Indiana.

Will try other sites.

Search metro areas on one coast or another . Obviously cars can move but the dealer network for the longest time was only in a few places. The good ones are often still being cared for and driven by their original owners. They pop up on the Swedespeed  forums regularly as well. Bring a Trailer as well.

I’d wager there’s nothing on BaT sold in the last year that I could afford.

Will look around, but this is a much more mild interest than my fondness for XJs, and those are much easier to find locally.

For BaT the results are somewhat reasonable. Anywhere from 4-7 for a solid care.

I get ya. More than likely you'll come across one locally when you aren't looking. 1500 should get you a running project. 3000 should get you a really decent driver.
